Automotive Service Advisor 

Carter Honda is excited to announce that an opportunity has opened for a Full-Time Service Advisor to join our successful team.We are looking for a well organized, customer service orientated, team player with strong multitasking skills. Automotive Service experience is also an asset but not necessary; however, Industry knowledge is a must!

GOAL:To build long lasting and loyal relationships with our internal and external clients by providing exceptional customer service so that expectations are met or exceeded. To meet or exceed targets set by the company and manufacturer.

Job Description and Duties:

• Greet all Carter Honda clients promptly and courteously via Dealership visits, in bound calls or emails.
• Address clients needs/wants and advise on necessary service or routine maintenance.
• Help identify a clients mechanical problems by questioning, doing visual inspections or road testing.
• Putting to action new business policies and processes
• Prepare repair orders showing the time, date, and current odometer reading. Ensure that all repair orders have all charges clearly identified including diagnostic charges. Customer information is updated and repair order is signed by the client at time of write up.
• Vehicles checked for outstanding recalls and required information listed on repair order and printout attached to hard copy.
• Effectively communicate the clients concerns to the technicians by writing clear descriptions of problems as explained by the client at time of repair order write up.
• Work with the technicians and parts advisors to ensure clients needs/wants are met as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Follow up with client as soon as possible and advise on the status of their vehicle; address client concerns and explain additional items found during servicing.
• Provide a detailed estimate including fees/taxes and completion time.
• Contact client as soon as vehicle is ready for pick up.
• Explain final invoice to client including all charges, inspection results and address any concerns. Provide client with car wash voucher.
• Explain the next factory maintenance and what that entails.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

• Prepare estimates for insurance and extended warranty companies and obtain authorization information which must be included on the repair order.
• Complete all Honda factory training online and in-class courses within 90 days of hire and maintain 100% completion thereafter.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Be customer focused and have either motorsports or automotive Service Advisor experience.
• Have strong communication, customer service and phone skills
• Be process driven with Strong Leadership skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
• Written and spoken English are essential, additional languages are an asset.
• Have valid British Columbia driver’s license.
• Be professional, have ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
• Have Knowledge of Honda products.

Automotive and Motorcycle Parts Advisor

Position Overview: 

Responsible for the efficient ordering, stocking and sale of parts to retail, wholesale, internal, service and shop customers. Take orders for customers, provides price quotes and information about parts and specials. Works efficiently and provides a high level of customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take orders for parts by phone, email, technician counter, retail counter, internal customer and wholesale account
• Organize and fill orders out of dealership inventory
• Stage orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick up
• Replenish assigned inventory daily and keep displays stocked and clean
• Assist in the collection of data necessary for efficient inventory control

• Keep Parts Manager/Assistant Parts Manager notified of out of stock parts; shop materials or problem parts

• Keep department forms, menus and pricing guides up to date
• Issue credit for returned parts; ensure original invoice or its number; verify purchase and pricing
• Organize and pack obsolete parts to be shipped back to manufacturer, if necessary
• Sell the value of the Service Department by recommending work/installations be done by dealership
• Effectively handle minor customer complaints and misunderstandings
• Maintain high customer satisfaction standards

  • Red Seal certification
